White House Throws Party in Honor of Indian Prime Minister


Desis are taking over the White House! The Obamas are holding their first state dinner at the White House and it's in honor of India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh!

So who will be seen tonight at the White House's South Lawn? Well, apart from anyone who's anyone in Washington, like the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton turned actor and Associate Director of White House Office of Public Engagement Kal Penn, Hollywood's best will also gather Thurs PM Singh like honor director and producer Steven Spielberg.

Last but not least, Desis from the entertainment industry will be mingling and partying with the president at this black tie "event! CNN's Sanjay Gupta, the managing editor of the Washington Post, Raju Narisetti, Hollywood director M. Night Shyamalan, president of the Asia Society Vishakha N. Desai, and "Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto, all got the invitation reading: "The President and Mrs. . Obama request the pleasure of the company of Mr. _____ at a dinner in Honor of His Excellency Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, and Mrs.. Gursharan Kaur, to be held at The White House is Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at seven o'clock. "
