Islam And Pakistan Can Not Be Separated: COAS


PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani on Wednesday Parvaiz has said that Pakistan was achieved in the name of Islam and the religion can never be Expelled from the country, AAJ News reported.

Addressing a gathering here at Police Line, the COAS said that no one can separate Islam from Pakistan as the country was achieved in its name. They said that Pakistan Army will succeed in its bid to root out extremism from the country in cooperation with the nation and the media.

Announcing Rs 200 million for the Martyrs of NWFP Police, General Kayani said that the all kinds of needed weapons and ammunitions would be provided Thurs Police, to make its progress better.

COAS also earlier visited Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar Thurs inquire after the health of the bomb blast victims.

On arrival at LRH, he was received by Provincial Minister for Health Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Azam Khan, Peshawar Commissioner and Chief Executive LRH.
